A south West slope in Hampstead, the project included the front and back gardens, a roof terrace, and pathway on the outside of the property.

On a Westerly site, in Highate, London, Eleven mature Oak trees were amongst 26 existing trees that meant the back and end gardens have a wooded feel and is partially to fully shaded. A tennis court and later Swimming Pool/Gym complex was built in the 1980’s.
A garden in Letchworth that fits the Arts and Crafts style of the house.
Located on the Highgate side of Hampstead Garden Suburb, with an adjacent strip of land, which was to be joined with the existing plot to form one garden space. This new area could not have any permanent hard surfaces, due to planning complexities.
The redevelopment of this property in Tewin, (near Welwyn Garden City), mean’t some awkward levels needed resolving. This too presented challenges for creating cohesion between house and garden.
To create a garden that connects with the architecture and materials of the house, and Hampstead Heath (On the Eastern Boundary). A space that reflects the clients South African roots and love of planting. A soft garden using timber and planting.
